By the end of Level 1, students will be able to give and obtain personal and non-personal information and give opinions and feelings related to personal life, daily routines, likes and dislikes, eating and drinking habits and lifestyle. Students will be able to understand short written texts, simple narratives and adapted information from newspapers or magazines related to traveling, lifestyle, families, places, food and people's appearance. Students will be able to identify simple, factual oral information consisting of numbers, times, dates, prices, words, spelling of names, jobs, people’s description, shopping, food preferences and leisure activities. Students will be able to write authentic messages such as e-mails and narratives about people and routines. Students will be able to use some Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as part of their process of becoming responsible for their own learning.
