By the end of Level 1, students will be able to give and obtain personal and non-personal information and give opinions and feelings related to personal life, daily routines, likes and dislikes, eating and drinking habits, life style and past events. Students will be able to understand short written texts, simple narratives and adapted information from newspapers or magazines related to traveling, life style, families, places, food and memories. Students will be able to identify simple, factual oral information consisting of numbers, times, dates, prices, words, spelling of names, jobs, people’s description, shopping, food preferences and leisure activities. Students will be able to write authentic messages such as e-mails and narratives about people, routines and memories and past events. Students will be able to use some Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as part of their process of becoming responsible for their own learning.

By the end of Level 2, students will be able to read and show understanding of written descriptive and narrative texts about life experiences, journeys, places around the world, activities people can do in different places, health and dangerous jobs. Similarly, students will be able to listen and understand simple oral texts such as descriptions and stories about traveling, festivals, leisure activities, health issues, job and life experiences. Additionally, Students will successfully produce written and oral texts such as interviews, short presentations, and everyday conversations pertaining to their social, academic and professional context. They will also be able to use ICTs and learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning

Exit Profile

'By the end of level 3, students will read and show understanding of written texts related to relationships, jobs, education, tourism and health. Similarly, they will listen to recordings and talks about motivations in certain companies, interviews about jobs, life decisions, talents, and tourism and, will show understanding of them through different activities. Students will write compositions describing and providing opinions regarding work experience, work-life balance, talents and emails giving advice and describing trips. Students will orally describe and give opinions about their personal life style, happiness, their majors, their own and other people’s talents, tourism and health. The students will use learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning and they will use Communication Technologies (ICT).'

By the end of level 4, students will read and show understanding of written texts related to social issues such as life changes, money, technology, society, nature and fame.  Similarly, they will listen to and show understanding of recordings and talks about life changes, money, technology, society, nature and fame. Students will produce written compositions in which they make descriptions and provide their opinion about current topics. Students will orally describe and give opinions about environmental problems, crime and the use of technology. Students will use Information, Communication Technologies (ICT) and learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning​.

By the end of level 5, students will show understanding of written and oral texts related to the use of color in life and its meaning, music, performance, global entertainment, unforgettable experiences, predictions, travel experiences, great holidays and healthy lifestyles.   Similarly, students will produce written compositions in which they share their opinion regarding how globalization has affected different aspects of local and worldwide culture and a review about travel experiences and holidays. Students will orally give their opinion on how globalization has affected culture sharing arguments for and against. Students will also describe unforgettable experiences, talk about predictions, exchange information about travel experiences and holidays, discuss and share their opinions on healthy lifestyles. Students will use Information, Communication Technologies (ICT) and learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning.

By the end of level 6, students will show understanding of written and oral texts related to the use of technology in people´s life as well as different aspects such as music, entertainment, solving problems, crime and describing events.   Similarly, students will produce written compositions in which they share their arguments in favor and against aspects of technology worldwide. Students will orally expose their findings regarding ecofriendly houses from the future, unresolved mystery, mass media and movies. Students will also show understanding of texts related to places, living away from home, riddles, mysteries, crimes, news, mass media, photography and films. Students will use Information, Communication Technologies (ICT) and learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning.

Exit Profile

By the end of level 7, students will demonstrate a solid understanding of written and oral texts related to the relationships and attitudes of people and animals, famous people, current social and environmental problems, art and opinions about it, social development issues, and vacationing. Similarly, students will produce two written compositions in which they analyze issues regarding current global problems in developing countries and propose possible solutions to them. Students will orally describe relationships and influences in their lives, opinions about stories and authors, and opinions about current global problems. Also, students will talk about the arts and values, social development, and provide possibilities for different types of vacations. Students will use Information, Communication Technologies (ICT) and learning strategies to become responsible for their own learning.
